JOB ROLE ONE

“The first job, that I most aspire to do is 3D modelling. This job concludes of taking concept art from 2D designers and creating a 3D computer generated model which will then be passed on the be lit and textured. The best way forward in this role is to get a specialist VFX uni degree, and constantly be improving your show reel. The average salary in the UK appears to be around £27 per hour. I am most interested in this job role so therefore will be trying to learning a few different software’s including Maya and blender and so on”

JOB ROLE TWO

“The second job I have researched is an environment artist. People working in this field have a very similar job to3D modeller however they take environments that would be unrealistic to film in real life for example space and create a realistic backdrop for the characters using 3D dimensions. Ideally for this role you need at least a vocational degree but you should also be working on your environmental skills having a good knowledge of landscapes and cityscapes”

JOB ROLE THREE

“The third job I’m looking at is an animator. Whilst this is quite different from the other two jobs, I have enjoyed messing around, animation 3D models I have created in my own time. I am more interested in the 3D animation side. An animator will give personality to a rig and make it move in a stylized way. You’ll need a specialist Uni degree to do this and also be good at art and understanding special awareness”
